Crookes & Co are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, strong technical skills, and a keen eye for aesthetics. As an Interior Designer at Crookes & Co, you will work closely with the creative director, project managers and suppliers to develop and execute design concepts, source materials and create stunning interiors locally and abroad.
JOB OVERVIEW
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with creative director to develop design concepts and mood boards.
- Assist in creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.).
- Source and select furniture, materials, fabrics, and finishes in line with project requirements.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback as needed.
- Work with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and design specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design innovations.
- Assist in styling and final staging of spaces for client handover.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree of Higher Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in interior design or a similar role.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of colour theory, space planning, and materials.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior designers.
- Knowledge of industry standards and building codes is a plus.
